The Trust is governed by a Board of leading citizens, appointed by the Governor, Legislature and the Board of Regents. It is requested that Barbara A. Brinkley be appointed to a three-year term beginning on December 8, 2005.
Barbara A. Brinkley of Jay, New York, is a

Since that time, Ms. Brinkley has worked with coalitions of local
organizations in the Kingston, NY area to found, organize and produce
Governor’s Observance Day honoring the first NYS Governor George Clinton
and to rename the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge for Gov. George Clinton. She also organized a successful
coalition to produce the Celebration of the 225th Anniversary of the
New York State Constitution of 1777 in Kingston in 2002. Ms. Brinkley has served as Regent of the
National Society, DAR, New York Chapter; Directress General of the Society of
Daughters of Holland Dames; Board member of the Daughters of the Cincinnati;
Trustee of the Historical Society of the Courts of the State of New York; and
Trustee of St. Mark’s Church-in-the-Bowery Historic Landmark Fund. In 2004, she was honored as Volunteer of
the Year by the Conference of Historic and Patriotic Societies. Ms. Brinkley holds a BA degree from
