STLE Update
Your Committees received an overview of the strengthening teacher and leader effectiveness (STLE) grant program, including rounds 1, 2, and 3. Updates were provided regarding the current grant program monitoring, technical assistance, and trends. A video of one grantee was shared.

Your P-12 Education Committee held its scheduled meeting on January 13, 2014.  All members were present except for Regents Bendit and Rosa, who were excused.

Your Committees heard a panel discussion on the history and future of teacher preparation. Presenters included Jane Ashdown, Adelphi University, Mary Brabeck, NYU, Ruth Pagerey, SUNY, Sharon Robinson, American Association   of Colleges for Teacher Education, and Deborah Shanley, Booklyn College
